session. To reserve your spot for one or more webinars, e-mail Andrew Reinhard, Director of
eLearning, at
areinhard@bolchazy.com.
Thursday, June 12
“Using Roman History to Learn Latin Reading
Skills”, Webinar
Rose Williams, Emerita Latin teacher
There is never enough room in a Latin class
for everything we would like to teach. Some
things are so important, however, that we need
to make a bit of room for them. Roman history is
one of these. Teaching a language is most
successful when it encompasses, as much as
possible, the culture of the people who created
it. Language does not exist in a vacuum. Any
language is impacted by where its people lived,
what happened to them, and the ideas which they
had to express for their survival and growth or
which they considered important. The webinar
will comprise of several readings from Roman
history that are used to illustrate Latin
grammar.
Friday-Sunday, June 27-29

Rose will present
"Latin After the Fall", a workshop on
Medieval and Renaissance Latin
and her presentation, "The Myths and the
Histories"
She will also be signing copies of her books,
